Terms of Service
General information about how we work, not legal advice.
These are the working terms between Trident Power Washing and the homeowner, building manager, or strata council that books us. The tone is plain on purpose. If anything here matters to your decision to book, raise it on the phone before the work starts and we can address it in writing on the estimate.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to any exterior cleaning service performed by Trident Power Washing within Greater Vancouver. The estimate you receive lists the specific scope, surfaces, and any exclusions for your job; that estimate takes precedence over anything general written here if the two ever disagree.
Estimates
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. Most are sent the same business day after a walk-around (in person or with photos you send us). Pricing on the estimate is valid for 30 days from the date issued; after that we may revisit it for changes in season, material cost, or condition.
Scheduling
Booked dates are subject to weather and crew availability. We confirm the day before, and again on the morning of. If weather forces a move, we call you to pick the next workable date. We do not charge for weather-driven reschedules.
Payment
Payment is due on completion unless other terms are agreed in writing on the estimate (typical for strata and commercial work, where 30-day invoicing is standard). Accepted methods are confirmed at the time of estimate; we currently accept Visa, Mastercard, e-Transfer, and cheque, with availability noted on your estimate.
Receipts are emailed only on request (we do not store an email address by default); otherwise a paper receipt is left on site or handed to you at completion.
On-site access
For the crew to work safely and efficiently, the client provides:
- Access to an outdoor water tap with reasonable pressure.
- Reasonable parking close to the property for a pickup truck and trailer.
- Unlocked gates, secured pets, and any prior notice to neighbours about brief water overspray on shared fences.
- Windows and skylights closed before we start.
If access is not available on the scheduled day and we need to return, a return-trip fee may apply; we will tell you on the phone before we book that return.
Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellations with at least 24 hours notice carry no fee. Rescheduling within 24 hours is also no charge if it is initiated by either side; if the crew is already en route, a partial call-out fee may apply, capped at the lesser of $100 or 20% of the estimate. Same-day cancellation after arrival is invoiced at the minimum-job rate noted on the estimate.
Limits of liability
Liability for any claim arising from a job is capped at the value of the service performed on that job. We carry commercial liability insurance; certificate available on request before booking. We are not liable for damage caused by underlying conditions that were not visible at estimate (rotten trim under paint, failing flashing under moss), or by client-supplied water or electrical hookups that fail during the work. See the Disclaimer for more on expected outcomes.
Disputes and governing law
These terms and any work performed under them are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia. We prefer to resolve concerns on the phone, on the same day if possible. Anything that cannot be resolved that way is heard in the courts of British Columbia.
