What we collect

From the free-estimate form on this site:

• Your name
• A phone number we can reach you at
• City or neighbourhood (so we can route the right crew)
• Which service you are interested in
• Property type (single-family, townhouse, low-rise, commercial)
• A preferred time-of-day window for the call back
• Anything you choose to add in the optional notes field

We do not ask for an email address. We do not have a public email contact, by design. Phone is the only channel we promise to answer, so phone is the only contact information we collect.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs that include IP address, user agent, and the URL requested. These are standard for any web host and are not merged with the form submissions above.

We also use analytics and advertising cookies (the full list, and how to switch them off, is in our Cookie Policy). Through them, our analytics and advertising providers see anonymous, aggregate information about your visit: which pages you viewed, the general area you are in, your device and browser, and how you arrived. We use this to understand our traffic and to show our own ads to people who have already visited. It is never linked to the name and phone number you give us in the form.

How we use it

The details you give us in the form, your name and phone number, are the part we guard most closely. They are used for one purpose: to call you back about the work you asked about. We do not add you to a mailing list (we do not have one). We do not sell, rent, or trade them, and we do not share them with anyone, except a sub-trade needed to complete a job you have specifically approved, in which case only the address and the relevant scope is shared.

The anonymous browsing information described above is a separate thing. It is handled by our analytics and advertising providers for the purposes set out in our Cookie Policy, and is kept apart from your form details. You can opt out of it at any time.

Where we operate

We are a Greater Vancouver business and we serve local customers only. The privacy rules that apply to us are Canadian: PIPEDA federally and BC PIPA provincially. The EU's GDPR is written for businesses that target people in Europe, which we do not, so it does not apply to us.

How we protect it

Form submissions travel over HTTPS. They are stored encrypted at rest with our hosting provider. Access is limited to the office-side team members who do call-back and scheduling. We do not store payment card numbers; payments are handled by separate processors at the time of payment.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and call notes are kept for 12 months after the last contact with you, then deleted. Job records (the address, the scope of work, the invoice) are kept for 7 years to satisfy Canadian tax and insurance record-keeping rules.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA and BC PIPA you have the right to:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it (subject to the tax and insurance retention above).
• Withdraw consent for any future contact.
• Opt out of our analytics and advertising cookies at any time (the Cookie Policy has the one-click ways to do it).

All of these are handled on the phone. There is no form to fill out. Call us, identify the file, and we will action it on the spot.
