House soft washing
Soft-wash exterior siding cleaning across Greater Vancouver
Soft washing is the gentle counterpart to pressure washing: the same equipment, dialled all the way down, paired with a cleaning solution that does the actual lifting. It is the only safe method for the painted, fibrous and engineered siding most Vancouver homes are built with. High pressure on Hardie board chips the painted face; on cedar it lifts the grain; on vinyl it forces water behind the panels. Soft washing avoids all of it.
Surfaces we soft-wash
- Hardie board, James Hardie panels and trim
- Cedar shingles, cedar board-and-batten and bevel siding
- Vinyl, aluminium and engineered composite siding
- Stucco, EIFS and painted brick
Two-coat application: cleaning solution applied bottom-up, dwell time to let it work, then low-pressure rinse top-down. We protect plants, vehicles and windows before the first spray. Mould, algae and oxidation lift cleanly. The paint stays where the painter put it. Detached homes are usually a one-day visit; townhouse strata schedules run multi-day depending on building size.
